A Very flat course, and perfect conditions - 8c when started and 14c when finished. Running around the ancient city and through palm trees and grazing camels
was great, as was pacing ourselves with people training for the Marathon des Sables - some carrying heavy backpacks, and one blind French woman who was running
attached to her partner and had already done the Marathon des Sables 3 times And an English guy who had already done 564 marathons. All of which stops you
getting too carried away.Kevin Payne 386th man in 4.01.23 and Ayten Gillingham 106th woman in 4.54.27
